So yesterday was a dream come true. My friend Angela and I have had this idea of a shoot together for ages. We just never got around to setting a date and planning what we wanted to do. But when Angela was asked to model for a local wedding fair, the idea of doing a shoot together came up again and suddenly everything happend very fast.

We organized a dress and a beautiful bouquet, set a date and hoped for good weather since we were planning on finally doing our shoot in early February. One week before the shoot it snowed and the weather report said it'd be raining on the day of our shoot so I was panicking just a little because I had had that idea of a model in a bordeaux dress in some sort of field/meadow. And try putting someone in heels in a wet, grassy, even snowy area - not cool.

But when the day came it couldn't have been more perfect. Angie got ready at my place, she did her own makeup to my liking (thank you!) and we curled her hair. A little later than planned we took off to find a shooting location. There was one place I wanted check out on the way to a location I knew would work although the light was getting low. When we arrived I knew we had found the absolute perfect spot. There was this beautiful, warm light that almost screamed indian summer (although it was about 6 degrees Celsius outside), a soft wind was blowing and the light, dried out grass made for the most perfect backdrop. Everything came together beautifully.

The shoot turned out even better than I envisioned and I am so very thankful to Angela for braving the cold and being a wonderful, wonderful model. And also a big shout out and thank you to Franziska for finding the time to spontaneously make me the absolute perfect bouquet although Valentine's Day was just around the corner.
